Mentoring Programs

Our program has two Mentoring Programs

    Promoting Excellence through Sisterhood

Pursuing Excellence in Academics while Reaching Limitless Success

Our Mentor Program provides positive female role models and strong support structures to motivated teenage girls who are ready to explore who they are and discover their community at large. While forming, a bond and Sisterhood like none other.

The purpose of the Project P.E.A.R.L.S Mentor Program Goals

  • Increase girls' sense of self worth
  • Improve girls' perspective toward education
  • Help girls develop and define their short-term and long-term goals
  • Encourage social awareness through community service projects
  • Build positive relationships and support networks with adults and peers

Young Men Destined for Greatness

The Male Mentoring Program has partnered with Harnett Pride of 166 Masonic Organization in which they will provide mentors to the program. They have also partnered with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Mr. Demetrius states “In today’s society the need for positive and productive men increases daily, meanwhile the drop-out rate of young men increases as well. Due to lack of support, young men turn to anything that provides them comfort within. “Young Men Destined for Greatness” is a mentoring program through 21st Century Community Learning Center Think Smart that helps young men grasp for success”.

We are still seeking Mentors (ages 18 and older) and Mentees (ages 5-17 years old). If you are interested in being a volunteer mentor or mentee, please contact our office and ask for Ms. Brittay (Female Program) and Mr. Demetrius (Male Program).
