Think Smart Outreach Center, Inc. is expanding!! We have the following positions available through our after school, daycare, and Police Athletic and Activities League (PAL) programs.

Most employees working more than 20 hours per week will typically work between the hours of 10am-7pm Monday through Thursday. Those working less than 20 hours per week will typically work between the hours of 2pm-7pm Monday through Thursday. However, each position requires flexibility. All employees must be available to work mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends. Advanced notice will be provided regarding schedule changes. All positions require a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and own transportation.  Most positions are scheduled to end on June 30, 2012 with a possibility of rehire in September 2012.
 
After School Instructor – Two positions available. Will be responsible for organizing and implementing curriculum activities for school aged youth to include conflict resolution, career planning, dropout prevention, character education, anti-bullying, and youth leadership. Will also organize and conduct tasks such as academic enrichment, arts/crafts, reading literacy, homework assistance, recreational activities, technology education, outdoor play, performing arts, and educational projects, etc. Will typically work 15-25 hours per week. Salaried position. Pay up to $1000 per month.
 
Youth and Family Service Worker: Will be responsible for enrolling eligible participants into program activities, will complete goal sheets for each participant, maintain statistical records and narrative case notes on individual contacts with children and families, complete all associated paperwork, conduct school and home visits, assist in the identification, referral, and support of children with special needs. Will refer children and families for appropriate services. Assures provision of supportive services to children and families. Will implement workshops and activities geared towards family involvement and will be responsible for the agendas and sign-in sheets for our after school program's family events, oversea the after school program, organize fun activities for parents and staff during our monthly family events, organize and chaperone field trips, etc..  Prefers 24 credit hours from an accredited college in social work or related field, bilingual Spanish/English, or 1 year experience in social work or related social sciences. Will typically work 20-25 hours per week.  Salaried position. Pay up to $1280 per month.
 
Volunteer/Media Coordinator: Will be responsible for recriting, interviewing, and training potential volunteers. Other tasks include developing partnerships with multiple agencies from from different sectors to estbalish a good working relationship with them, keeping the community aware of volunteer opportunities, assisting with fund raising activities to sustain all the projects of the organization, organize the schedule, tasks, availability of the volunteers, and motivating, supporting, and monitoring volunteers for the works they have accomplished. Must be outspoken, able to speak in the presence of large groups and have the ability to prepare new releases. Will typically work 20-25 hours per week. Pay up to $1280 per month doe/q.

Cook/Custodian: Will be responsible for keeping facility in a clean and orderly fashion. Duties include mopping, dusting, vacuuming, etc. Will also prepare hot meals for participants attending after school program as well as TSOC activities and events. Will work 12 hours per week. Salaried position. Pay up to $550 per month.
